# How to Disable Security Shield on Spectrum Internet

### Overview
If you are experiencing connection issues with certain apps or streaming services, Spectrum’s **Security Shield** feature may be blocking the connection. Follow the steps below to disable it.

### Step-by-Step Instructions
#### Step 1: Log into the Spectrum App
* Open the **My Spectrum App** on your mobile device.
* Sign in with your Spectrum account credentials.
#### Step 2: Manage Internet Settings
* Tap on **Services**.
* Select **Internet**.
* Choose your active internet connection.
#### Step 3: Locate Security Shield
* Tap on **Security Shield**.
#### Step 4: Disable Security Shield
* Toggle **Security Shield OFF**.
#### Step 5: Test Your Service
* Restart your TV device if necessary.
* Open your streaming app and test the connection.
