# How to Disable Firewall Settings on Verizon Router

### Overview
Some Verizon router firewall settings may interfere with streaming or third-party applications. Follow the steps below to access your router settings and adjust the firewall.

### Step-by-Step Instructions
#### Step 1: Access Your Router
* Open a web browser on a device connected to your Verizon internet.
* Enter your router’s IP address into the address bar (commonly: `192.168.1.1`).
* Press Enter.
#### Step 2: Log In
* Enter your router username and password.
* (Default login credentials are often printed on the router label.)
#### Step 3: Open Advanced Settings
* Locate and click on **Advanced Settings**.
#### Step 4: Locate Firewall Settings
* Select **Firewall** from the menu options.
#### Step 5: Disable Firewall (If Necessary)
* Adjust the firewall setting to **Low** or **Off** (depending on available options).

### Important
Disabling firewall protections can reduce network security. If possible, set firewall to **Low** instead of fully disabling.
